Relaunching to AEM cloud for a leading laundry detergent manufacturer

The Challenge

In 2022, we faced a significant challenge with one of our enterprise clients, a leading global laundry detergent manufacturer. They required a migration and relaunch of over 200 complex local brand websites, each consisting of upwards of 150 pages and other assets, to a uniform, AEM cloud environment called “RAQN” within less than a year.
Since the existing websites lacked a distinct design that resonated with the brand’s identity, the company desired also a more unified design for their brands.

Our Approach on RAQN

Understanding the scale and complexity of the project, we began with a thorough analysis of the existing websites and the client’s expected outcome, with a focus on integrating newly developed features on RAQN. This analysis formed the basis of our year-long project plan. We assembled a dedicated team of around 40 professionals, including project managers, web editors, and designers, spread across three different countries. This diverse team brought together a wealth of experience and expertise, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the project.

Design and Development

Our designers worked closely with the client to create a fresh, brand-aligned design that could be built in the new AEM cloud system, making full use of RAQN’s dynamic and flexible environment. Once the design was approved, we developed a master template for each cluster, ensuring consistency across different regions while allowing for necessary customizations.

Rollout and Migration on RAQN

With the templates ready, we embarked on the crucial phase of rolling them out across all relevant countries. This was a meticulously planned and executed process, designed to minimize disruption and ensure a smooth transition. Our team worked tirelessly to manage the rollout for each of the 18 clusters, carefully coordinating with local teams to ensure a seamless migration of content to the RAQN platform. Despite the scale and complexity of the project, we successfully completed the planned scope for all countries and brands smoothly and within the deadline. This achievement underscored our ability to deliver large-scale projects on time while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Support and Maintenance

Throughout the project, our team worked closely with the technical team to identify and resolve any issues that arose, ensuring that bugs were quickly addressed and solutions were implemented effectively. But our work didn’t stop at the migration. After the successful transition to AEM cloud, we continued to maintain the websites, ensuring they remained up-to-date and functional.
